Beanstalks is a virtual stock-trading and financial-education app. You practice investing with pretend money — there's no real cash, no real stocks, and no brokerage account involved, ever. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do (and don't do) with it.
The short version. We collect the basics needed to give you an account and save your progress: your name, email, and password. We don't sell your data. We don't share it to advertise to you. When you use the in-app AI helper, your question text is sent to our AI provider to generate an answer — but nothing that identifies you goes with it. That's it.
1. Who we are
Beanstalks is operated by Ashaanvi LLC, a company based in California, United States. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means Ashaanvi LLC. If you have any questions, you can reach us at ashm@ashaanvi.com.
2. Who can use Beanstalks
Beanstalks is intended for people 16 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you're under 16, please don't create an account. If we learn that we've collected information from someone under 16, we'll delete it.
3. What we collect
Here's everything we collect, and where it goes:

What stays on your device
When you answer onboarding questions (like your experience level), those answers stay on your phone. They are not sent to our servers.
What we don't collect
- We don't collect your real financial information — no bank accounts, no credit cards, no real brokerage data. There's nothing real to connect.
- We don't track your location.
- We don't access your contacts, photos (beyond a picture you choose to upload), or other apps.
4. The in-app AI helper
Beanstalks includes an AI helper that can answer questions about stocks and investing concepts — things like "what's a P/E ratio?" To generate an answer, we send the text of your question to our AI provider, Anthropic.
We send only the question text. We do not send your name, your email, your portfolio, or anything else that identifies you. Anthropic processes the question to return an answer and, under our agreement, does not use it to train their models. To keep this feature free, the number of questions per day is limited.
5. How we use your information
We use the information above only to:
- Create and secure your account
- Run the app — your portfolio, trades, contests, and leaderboards
- Answer your questions through the AI helper
- Fix bugs, keep the app working, and improve it
We may look at overall, combined patterns — like which trading strategies tend to do well in a contest — to understand and improve the app. When we do this, we look at the activity in aggregate, not to build a profile of you personally.
6. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We share information only with the service providers that make the app run:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it (for example, in response to a valid legal request), or to protect the safety and rights of our users and Ashaanvi LLC.
7. How we protect your information
Your connection to Beanstalks is encrypted (HTTPS). Your password is stored scrambled using a one-way hash, which means even we can't read it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. If you'd like your account and the information tied to it deleted, email us at ashm@ashaanvi.com and we'll take care of it.
A note about the current test version. Beanstalks is in beta. During this period, the app runs on a demo environment: your account and activity are saved so they carry over between app updates, but the data lives in a simplified test setup rather than our full production system. Prices in the app are simulated and do not reflect real markets.
9. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Access or correct your account information from within the app
- Ask us to delete your account and data by emailing ashm@ashaanvi.com
- Stop using the app and delete it at any time
If you live in California
California residents have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Because we don't sell personal information, there's nothing to opt out of on that front. To make any request, email ashm@ashaanvi.com.
10. Changes to this policy
As Beanstalks grows — for example, when we move from the beta test to a full launch, or add new features — we may update this policy. When we make meaningful changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top, and where appropriate we'll let you know in the app.
